In the 1800s a variety of vessels transported residents, businessmen, and tourists along the Atlantic coastline. Everything from the smallest sailing vessels to schooners and later steamships were found in Eastport's bustling Victorian harbor. In 1898 the railroad arrived carrying both freight and passengers. Today you have a choice of air, land, and sea transportation, much of it taking you back to these days gone by. You can arrive in Eastport by small corporate jet, in a vehicle or a vessel, on a bike or on foot. All of these allow you an opportunity to enjoy the most beautiful scenery in the world.
