International Industry Creativity Network Tel-U Business Administration Study Program at IEFBA 2023

BANDUNG – The demographic bonus is expected to bring a breath of fresh air to Indonesia. By 2045, Indonesia is predicted to become one of the world’s economic centers.

However, the skills growth rate of the Indonesian people, especially in the digital entrepreneurship field, is still relatively low, with less than 10 percent.

The Student Association (Hima) of the Business Administration Studies Program (Prodi) at the Faculty of Communication and Business (Adbis FKB) Telkom University is determined to address this issue by actively promoting and training entrepreneurial skills for students and micro, small, and medium enterprises (SMEs). They aim to accomplish this through the gamification industry, which utilizes various game components in the learning process.

On October 28, 2023, Hima Adbis organized the International Business Administration Festival (IEFBA) 2023, which aimed to instill the spirit of digital entrepreneurship through the concept of marketing 5.0.

“This competition at IEFBA showcased various types of businesses from Indonesia and around the world, including Japan and Russia. The presented ideas were diverse, targeting specific segments, such as the business plan competition organized by the Zens Team, which focused on the disabled,” said Syahputra PhD., Head of Telkom University’s Administrative Studies Program.

Ayub Ilfandy Imran, B.Sc., M.Sc.PHd, the Deputy Dean 2 of the Faculty of Business Communication, also attended the event. He stated that this year’s IEFBA, themed “Good Game,” served as an international forum to increase job opportunities and promote the gamification industry, especially for the academic community.

IEFBA consisted of two levels of events, namely the pre-event and the main event. The pre-event included three types of competitions: the mobile legend competition, business plan competition, and entrepreneurship video contest. These competitions took place from September to October, both online and offline.

Desdia, the head of IEFBA 2023 activities, explained, “After recruiting the best talent from SMEs and students in the pre-event, we proceeded to the main event, which was a seminar activity held on October 28 at Telkom University, coinciding with Youth Pledge Day.”

The seminar featured speakers from various backgrounds, including Najel Mornov (Pro Player Gamers), Rohmat Risnandi (Esport Moonton Indonesia Production and Operations Manager), Rezaly Surya (Telkomsel ESports Manager), and was moderated by Rajiv Dharma Mangruwa DBA.

IEFBA 2023 was a successful event, supported by leading companies such as Pertamina, Sari Roti, Delfi, Telkomsel, and Markplus. The event garnered significant participation, with 1,058 participants, including 312 participants at the venue and 746 participants streaming the event on YouTube IEFBA2023.

The activity concluded with the presentation of certificates to the resource persons by Dr. Freedy Yusanto, the Deputy Dean 1 of the Faculty of Communication and Business.
