The demographic bonus is expected to bring positive changes to Indonesia, positioning it as one of the world’s economic centers by 2045. However, the skill growth rate among Indonesian people, particularly in the digital entrepreneurship field, remains relatively low at less than 10 percent.

In light of this, the Student Association (Hima) of the Business Administration Studies Program (Prodi) at the Faculty of Communication and Business (Adbis FKB) of Telkom University has taken a proactive approach in voicing and training entrepreneurial skills for students and micro, small, and medium enterprises (SMEs). They specifically focus on the gamification industry, which involves using game components to enhance the learning process.

To promote digital entrepreneurship and the concept of marketing 5.0, Hima Adbis organized the International Business Administration Festival (IEFBA) 2023 on October 28. This event aimed to showcase the creative ideas and diversity of businesses from Indonesia and across the world, including participants from Japan and Russia. Notable entries included the Zens Team, which presented a business plan competition targeting individuals with disabilities.

The Deputy Dean 2 of the Faculty of Business Communication, Ayub Ilfandy Imran, highlighted how IEFBA 2023, themed “Good Game,” serves as an international forum to increase insights into job opportunities in the gamification industry, particularly for the academic community. This activity demonstrates the entrepreneurial spirit that supports Telkom University’s mission to become a World Class University.

IEFBA consisted of two levels of events: the pre-event and the main event. The pre-event featured competitions such as the mobile legend competition, the business plan competition, and the entrepreneurship video contest, which took place from September to October. These competitions were held both online and offline to engage SMEs and students. The main event was held as a seminar on October 28, coinciding with the commemoration of Youth Pledge Day at Telkom University. Esteemed speakers from various backgrounds, including professional gamers, gaming industry managers, and academics, shared their insights and experiences.
