Indonesian Citizen in Los Angeles Missing, Indonesian Consulate General Conducts Search

An Indonesian citizen (WNI) named Yudi Saputra in Los Angeles, California, was reported missing. The Indonesian Consulate General in Los Angeles is said to have received a report regarding Yudi’s disappearance.

“The Consulate General of Indonesia in Los Angeles has received a report from the public regarding the disappearance of an Indonesian citizen in LA by the name of Yudi Saputra,” said the Director of Protection of Indonesian Nationals and Indonesian Legislation at the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. , Judha Nugraha, when contacted, Monday (4/9/2023).

Judha said Yudi was reported missing while working part-time since August 31. Yudi is said to be a student who lives with his wife and children in Los Angeles.

“The person involved is a student at California International University. Initial information has been missing since August 31, 2023 while working part-time as an Uber dining driver. The person in question lives in LA with his wife and child,” said Judha.

The family is also said to have reported Yudi’s disappearance to the local police. Judha said that the Indonesian Consulate General in LA is currently assisting in the search for Yudi.

“The family has reported missing information (missing person) to the LAPD. “The Indonesian Consulate General in LA has contacted the family and the LAPD to assist in the search efforts on the ground,” he said.
