• Easternmost Town: Lubec is the easternmost town in the United States. From Eastport take Route 1 south to Route 189 in Whiting and then follow it into Lubec. A most enjoyable ferry ride will also get you to Lubec. Take the New Brunswick Ferry from 167 Water Street, Eastport, to Deer Island, New Brunswick, where another ferry will take you to Campobello Island, New Brunswick. A drive across the bridge through U.S. Customs will get you into downtown Lubec.

You'll enjoy each of these day trips more fully if you have a camera and binoculars always at hand. At every turn you have the opportunity for a moose to appear, an eagle to soar overhead, or some other breathtaking sight to awaken your senses.
