If you are visiting Ellsworth, Bar Harbor, and the Acadia National Park area of Maine, the peacefulness and beauty of Washington County are only a few miles away. From Ellsworth to Eastport is about 100 miles along Route 1 or you can enjoy 200 miles of nature's beauty in tiny villages and small cities along the Big Sur Scenic Drive. It may take several days, especially if you visit Franklin Roosevelt's beloved Campobello Island, just across the international bridge from Lubec and across the bay (two enchanting ferry rides) from Eastport.

If you'd like to "visit" Eastport before you travel or you'd like a reminder of the breathtaking beauty, photographs are available from Don Dunbar.    A land and ocean video is available at Accompany.    An underwater video and book are available from Jonathan Bird.    A variety of Eastport Treasures can be ordered online or by contacting the individuals by e-mail, phone, or mail.    Everything from homes and yachts to art, sweatshirts, and mustard are only a click away.    Bring Eastport into your home.

Information for visiting other Maine cities and towns can be found at www.visitmaine.com or www.maine.info.

If you would like to promote your product, service, or organization beyond what you find here, we will create a single web page for you, attached to this site, for a very modest annual fee [$100.], including unlimited updates.
